Esimerkkejä mittauspaikkakunnista: Porin seudun tuulivoimakartoitus (mittaus saaressa ja rannikolla) Tammisaari, Pietarsaari ja Luodon kunta Vaasan seudun tuulivoimakartoitus (rannikkomittaus) Varsinais-Suomi ja Satakunta (viisi paikkakuntaa) Kemi ja Tornio (meren rantamittaus) Härmä, Mouhijärvi ja Honkajoki (sisämaa) sekä: Simo, Olhava, Tervola Raahe, Perniö, Juva, Joroinen Seinäjoki, Tornio, Haukipudas, Sauvo jne. Olemme mitanneet yli 30 paikkakunnalla useassa eri paikassa. Asiakkaina TuuliWatti, EPV, WinWind, Taaritehdas ja lukuisat muut pienemmät toimeksiantajat. Meidän tuulimittauksiemme perusteella on vuoden 2012 loppuun mennessä (+ Honkajoki 2013) rakennettu tuulivoimaa 117,7 MW. Se on lähes puolet (45,8 %) Suomessa rakennetusta tuulivoimasta (257 MW vuonna 2012, Lähde VTT:n raportti; Wind energy statistics in Finland 2012) Olemme ilolla kuulleet asiakkaan toteavan, että etukäteen tehtyjen mittauksien perusteella tehdyt laskelmat ja arviot tuotannosta, vastaavan tänä päivänä tuotettavaa tuulienergiaa. Teoreettinen pohja on mm. Yrjö Rinta-Joupin väitöskirja 2003 ”Development of Offshore Wind Power Price Competitiviness Using a New Logistic Construct”, joka sisältää runsaasti tuulenmittaus ja –analysointikokemusta. YRJtechnology Oy yhtiön omistaja ja toimitusjohtaja onYrjö Rinta-Jouppi, joka valmistui Teknillisen Korkeakoulun (Helsinki) kone osaston valmistustekniikan linjalta. Hänen ensimmäinen työpaikkansa oli Sveitsissä Brown Boveri & Cie, nykyinen ABB, turboahtaustekniikan kehitystehtävissä pari vuotta. Seuraava työpaikka oli Rauma-Repola Mäntyluoto Works öljynporalautta- ja laivavalmistuksessa, jossa hän työskenteli 20 vuotta telakka insinöörinä, tuotannon ohjauspäällikkönä, kaupallisen osaston päällikkönä ja viimeiseksi meriteknisen teollisuuden materiaali (logistiikka) johtajana. Samalla Rinta-Jouppi suoritti Tampereen Teknillisessä yliopistossa tekniikan lisensiaatin tutkinnon tuotantotaloudessa. Pari vuotta kehitysyhtiö Prizztech:issä lähinnä kotimaisen tuulivoimalan kehitystyötä, johon liittyi tuulen mittauksen aloittaminen saaressa avomerellä. Yrjö Rinta-Jouppi väitteli Vaasan yliopistossa 2003 aiheenaan avomerituulivoimalan kustannuskysymykset. Väitöskirjaan liittyen voimalaperustan maailmanlaajuinen patentti. Lähinnä tuulenmittaukseen pohjautuvan YRJtechnology:n Rinta-Jouppi perusti 2005, jossa hän jatkaa edelleen.
