• <H3> Step 1: For the tank you’re using for the top part of your dress, measure down 5 inches, then cut across.
• <H3> Step 2: For the tank you’re using as the second part of your dress, measure down 4 inches, and cut across. Keep the bottom half of the tank for the middle section of your dress.
• <H3> Step 3: Cut the third tank just below the armholes, keeping as much as you can. This third part of the tank will be attached with the bottom part at the top, in order to get a fitted “pencil” effect.
• <H3> Step 4: Grab your pieces from steps 1 and 2 and pin right sides together. Sew together with a short zig-zag stitch using a 5/8″ seam allowance, then press to remove any ripples.
• <H3> Step 5: Again, with right sides together, pin the third piece to the second piece and sew together with a zig-zag stitch using 5/8″ seam allowance, then press. Remember for this piece, you want to attach the third piece at the bottom of the tank.
