• <H6> MY HUSBAND HAS ALZHEIMERS.…As the caregiver of my dear husband who has alzheimers, I wasn’t getting quality or quantity of sleep.  Every few hours I had to help him out of bed to go to the bathroom or anything else he needed.  I contacted Lowell at Sleep Well Adjustable Beds and my husband and I went to his showroom.  We purchased a bed for each of us even though I was sleeping in a regular bed.  For the first time in a very long time I actually slept six hours in my new bed!  We had lowered my husband’s bed so it was easy for him to get in and out while adjusting the bed for his comfort, he slept too without waking me up every few hours!  Laura M., IA                                             On a further note from Lowell….I saw Laura while I was visiting a care facility and she was visiting her husband there (he had his bed moved there).  She had an air cast on her leg.  She had fallen on the ice and badly hurt her knee.  She kept telling me how thankful she was for her adjustable bed.  She was happy she had purchased one for herself because now she could adjust the bed to prop up her leg and still get a good night’s sleep.  One more reason to get a high/low adjustable bed now!  Everyone falls so it is good to be prepared.
• <H6> MY MOM IS NOT TECH SAVVY…..We had shopped all over for a bed for my mother and we got to your place.  I thought, here is another place that we will look around and leave, but she found the right bed and for a good price.  My mother slept in the bed the whole night, no trouble adjusting.  She also liked that she could adjust it herself to where it was just right. • <H6> MY MOM WAS DYING OF PANCREATIC CANCER…My mom was suddenly diagnosed with pancreatic cancer after having severe backaches, internal pain, blood clots in her legs, and diabetes.  She didn’t have long to live but my dad and I decided she would have the best ‘comfort’ care for the little time she had left.  We got her a High/Low Adjustable Bed and she lowered it to where she could get in and out of it easily, with her legs swollen from clots she raised the foot end and she loved it that she could adjust the bed however she wanted it.  The special mattress also helped her heal a bed sore. The railing also helped her get in and out when she got weak.  She eventually went into a nursing home, one in which she couldn’t bring in the bed she had come to love.  She kept telling us, “if she could only sleep in HER bed at home again!”  Even though she didn’t get to use it long before she passed away, it was worth it.  And, since we got the bed with the dollies, we store it upright and will keep it in the family for the next family member who needs an adjustable bed for an illness, after surgery, or for a chronic illness.   Lynn D., IA
