- <H4> I can't change the direction of the wind, but I can adjust my sails to always reach my destination. The joyous time is when the breeze first strikes your sails, and the water rustles under your bow. Do you dream of sailing around the Gulf Islands, feeling the wind in your hair and the refreshing sea spray as your bow collides with a wave, but you can't afford your own boat or the high daily rate to rent or don't want to maintain a boat all on your own. Don't stop dreaming - contact us today. You could be on the water and making new friends before you know it.

- H3 : Waterline is a sailing cooperative consisting of 40 members who own equal shares in two yachts berthed at the White Rock pier in southwestern British Columbia, Canada. Membership costs:Initiation fee: $50Share purchase: $750. Annual dues: $575.Membership shares may be sold when a member wants to withdraw from the co-op, either through share redemption or a private sale. The process for this is covered by our rules. Members require a pleasure craft operators card, a VHF radio license, a CYA (Sail Canada) basic cruising certificate, and navigation certificate, or equivalent training. Our Training Director and other members sail with new members to assess their skills, instruct them on boat operation and handling, and build their sailing experience. If you need training, Waterline members and their immediate family members receive a substantial discount on the required CYA cruising, navigation, and VHF radio courses from a local training firm. Members are expected to complete 15 hours of work on the boats or other authorized activities annually. This work is coordinated by the Executive Committee and guidance is provided as needed. A fee of $200 is charged if a member chooses not to complete the minimum hours of work. During the winter, a “boat watch” schedule is created where members are assigned a time slot to check the boats, moorings and equipment several times per week., ( 506.328125px from top )

- H3 : Members have access to the yachts through an easy to use online reservation system. Members receive 200 hours of reservable sailing time during the high season (June 1 through September 15th), and a total of 300 hours in a calendar year. This allows a 4 night/5 day cruise during high season, or a 6 night/7 day cruise the balance of the year, plus additional time for day sails and short cruises., ( 1300.65625px from top )
