"And the part about us being together, well, even with the challenging road we've had, even through the trials, break ups, and cross-country moves, there was a big part of me that always knew it would be you. No matter how much we changed and grew, we simply worked well together. Our souls were connected no matter how much we tried to separate them. Fortunately, I've gotten him hooked on Colorado snowboarding.

Always up for a stirring philosophical conversation, just bring up Renee Descartes and he'll be happy. Or Game of Thrones. Or Dune. He's always down for a dance party, board game, or movie night.

  • <H4> Jacob is a good dude. He and I became friends in college and lived together our senior year. That worked out pretty well, so we lived together for the next two years as well! Unfortunately he is a Tennessee fan, but I forgive him.

Great guy to have a chill night with.

  • <H3> Millenium Maxwell House
  • <H4> Just up the road in North Nashville / trendy Germantown.
  • <H4> West End, Brentwood, and Green Hills are areas of Nashville that abound with additional hotel options. There are also of plenty of hotel options right downtown, we just didn't love their price! However, should you decide to stay downtown, we recommend the Omni or Union Station.

  • <H4> Nashville in the fall is hard to beat. If you have time to explore, we recommend grabbing some bikes to take in the sights!

  • <H4> Uber is a great way to get around the city and an excellent way to get to and from the wedding! Parking at The Cordelle is limited so we strongly encourage Uber if you are in the area.

  • <H4> Lyft is another great option and there are plenty of Lyfts in Nashville. We have no strong allegiance, so you do you!

  • <H4> Two words: Truffle Fries.

  • <H4> Amazing brunch, patio, and drinks. You can't go wrong any time of day.

  • <H4> The Ryman Auditorium is music history. It was the home of the Grand Ole Opry, the birthplace of bluegrass, an anchor of music heritage and a thriving venue. To quote their website, "This place is hallowed ground." You can tour the Ryman and even record a song in the recording studio!
  • <H3> Centennial Park
  • <H4> The 132-acre Centennial Park features a Parthenon replica (which is a very cool sight even if you don't pay to go inside) and lots and lots of beautiful green space for hanging out!
  • <H3> 12 South Neighborhood
  • <H4> Adorable neighborhood where we spent lots of time and money. Sevier Park is a favorite; Las Paletas features homemade popsicles that beat Bobby Flay's; caffeinate at Frothy Monkey; home of aforementioned Burger Up and Mafiaoza's. Tons of other goodies in between, but we must note that there is a bakery with a 24 hour CUPCAKE ATM. So there's that.

  • <H4> Catch a flick at the Nashville's independent theater, The Belcourt, window shop far too many great boutiques, grab a bite at our all-time favorite FIDO (incredibleamazing burgers and breakfast!), and top it off with Jeni's Ice Cream. Hello, day of my dreams.

  • <H4> For the art-lovers among us, The Frist Museum, Cheekwood Botanical Gardens, 5th Avenue of the Arts, and the Hatch Show Print Gallery (Hatch Show is so very cool and worthwhile regardless of art interest!) are great starting points for Nashville's non-musical art scene!
