description: Have you ever come off a weekend and started your Monday morning just about as tired as you ended your work week on Friday? Ya that's me today. This weekend was really great but boy am I tired this morning and work is just not going fast enough. Friday, as soon as I got home from work, the chaos began. We were planning a suprise birthday diner at home for Tom but I needed to run to the store for drinks and he needed cigaretts, which I refuse to buy for him, so I made him come with me. Well we ran into Cynthia and Travis and in the parking lot and it totally ruined the suprise that they were coming over for dinner! I was so bummed but it turned into a great night and good company.   Then saturday afternoon we had the Poly Family Potluck event and even with a rainy forecast we got a few hours of decent weather and the sun poking through. However eventually there was thunder so we packed up fast and got outta there before it began to dump buckets of rain and the thunder and lightening continued. Before it was cut short we gathered with a great group of friends and even met some new people which is always the goal. I think it was a hit even with the weather challenge. That afternoon got a little more tricky as Joshua helped me replace the battery in my Saturn and man that was a horrible pain! It was raining and the battery just wouldn't come out. Eventually we got it handled and now I'm ready to practice driving the manual car around haha. Watch out! Saturday night we had a big birthday bash party at the club for Tom which of course included as many people as we could get there! It was really a fun night and for the first timers I'm so glad they had a great time! I went home around 2 but others stayed to close the club down at 4am! I'm getting too old for that! The next day was Mothers Day and I needed to be ready by 10am so I was happy to get all the sleep I could. Mothers Day was a good day overall. Brunch with my mom, dad and sis to start the day. Then I had to get home to do some laundry and cleaning. The Tom, Chrys, myself, and the kids all decided to go shopping for a few indoor plants and I found my small succulent, an aloe plant and some african violet flowers. I repotted them and am super excited....now lets see if I can keep them alive! Then the night ended with a great bbq dinner and watching Tomorrowland with the kids. Mothers Day is hard for me in a selfish way because I always wanted to be a mom but it's never worked out, for multiple reasons. Maybe I was never meant to be a mom but right now I love my life and all the kids around me so I'll take that for now. It was a great weekend and now it's Monday morning and I'm exhausted. Is it Friday yet?!
